Though writing is his primary creative expression, Michael dabbles in other art forms, including acting, filmmaking, producing plays, and the lost art of air guitar.

Some of Michael’s books are Power in the Blood (1997), Blood of the Lamb (2004), North Florida Noir (2006 ),  Fresh and Blood  (2009 ), and Double Exposure (2009).  He is the writer of many more.   Thunder Beach, a great thriller, will be published in April 2010.

Michael’s latest projects are Burnt Offerings (thriller), The Big Goodbye (noir),  Finding the Way Again (nonfiction/spirituality), Spending the Night with Alyson Adler (literary), Snapshots (literary thriller), The Body and the Blood (John Jordan Mystery),  Another Quiet Night in Desperation  (noir short stories and film), and Conversations (plays).

Michael has two columns that appear in print and online:  River Readings (reflections), and Sunshine and Crime (reviews).   He edits the Gulf County Breeze newspaper, teaches religion and writing classes at Gulf Coast Community College, and runs the Direct Effect Project.
