Rube Waddell

Donald, also known as Rube, is a retired Air Force Colonel.   Born and raised in Concord, North Carolina.  Donald attended the University of North Carolina for two years prior to being accepted into the Aviation Cadet Program.  Becoming a pilot in the USAF, Donald spent twenty-three years in various assignments before retiring in 1975 while assigned in the Pentagon.

Since retiring from the Air Force, Donald has moved to Panama City, Florida, and generated an interest in writing, old cars, and baseball.   Donald has written six books, with the most successful thus far being Twisted Justice (2004), the story of the Sandy Creek murders.   He is also the author of Das Saboteur (2009), The Christmas Box (2007), Cobra Undercover  (2007), Crying Blood (2005), and Operation Pat Hand (2005).  Donald's most recent release, Das Saboteur, relates the story of 371,683 German prisoners of war interned in the U.S. during World War II.  

Donald and his wife Sue presently reside in a residential airpark in the Savannah, Georgia area.
